On a trip out for lunch last week I decided to take my Holga 120N. It’s a plastic camera, with a plastic lens. Soft and dreamy. I loaded the camera with a roll of Fujifilm Acros and headed out.
The camera shoots 12 6×6 negatives on a roll of 120 film, but also comes with a replacement mask which changes the aspect ratio to 6×4.5, allowing for 16 shots.
I like my Holga for its mindlessness. Shutter speed and aperture are fixed, focus is by scale, so there’s not much to think about. Point, and shoot.
